The right-wing Weasel Party won the last parliamentary election by deceiving the electorate and rigging the ballot. When removed from power by the reigning monarch, the extremist leaders develop their hidden agenda and set about taking their revenge. Their goal is to regain power by any means available, fair or foul but mainly the latter, while the democratic forces prepare to counter their expected attack by applying the power of the pen, rather than using arms.

Aleksei Baranov:
This book is a work of fiction which I hope will both entertain its readers as well as encourage them to reflect on events which are eminently capable of happening before their very eyes. To facilitate each reader's own creative supposition of where the events described in the book could perhaps have taken place, or might take place in the future, I have chosen to assign the names of some of Kenneth Grahame's timeless animals to one group of characters while those of another group bear names familiar to readers of Lewis Carroll's immortal tales. Naturally, neither the animals of 'The Wind in the Willows' nor the characters of 'Alice in Wonderland' are the slightest bit constrained by national boundaries and, thus, they can easily substitute for real or imagined persons wherever in the world the reader chooses to place them. There are, of course, further characters bearing quite normal names while some others are perhaps best characterised as nicknames, all of which are entirely fictional being nothing more than figments of my imagination.
